Tender, Juicy, Bright Red Stalks!
This winter-hardy variety loves cold weather!
(Synonyms: Crimson Cherry, Crimson Wine.) Rich red through and through, this heavy producer from Oregon is juicy, tender, and sweet. Crimson Red is a winter-hardy rhubarb that thrives in cold weather, producing fiber-free stalks of scrumptious flavor every time!

This plant reaches 2 to 3 feet high and 3 feet wide, with 24-inch stalks of brightest crimson. The flavor is a delicious blend of tart and sweet, and the texture is succulent let with a hint of crunch, never stringy or fibrous. It's a generous producer, giving you all the rhubarb you need for terrific pies and canning.

Crimson Red can be harvested the second year after planting. Space the plants about 3 feet apart in the garden, and if you're growing it in the South, be sure to give it a bit of shade and plenty of moisture. You will find Crimson Red very winter-tough and long-lived, a favorite among gardeners for many years! Zones 2-8.
