| Artemisia x 'Powis Castle' is reminiscent of ostrich feathers! The foliage is fine-textured, feathery soft, and gleams silvery white tinted with aqua. Dense mounds reach 20 to 24 inches tall and spread twice as wide. Aromatic, silver foliaged plants enrich any garden or sunny border, especially when planted to contrast with darker foliage. Artemisia provides excellent cut foliage, both fresh and dried, for use in arrangements. Native to dry regions of southern Europe, Siberia, and western North America, they prefer full sun and very well-drained soil. 'Powis Castle' is very hardy and long lived. Zones 5-8. |
