| An orange Impatiens is about as rare as a blue rose, and a sun-tolerant Impatiens of any color almost seems like a contradiction in terms. So to find both together on big, early, non-fading blooms--well, it's just one of the most remarkable New Guinea Impatiens we've ever had the pleasure to offer! Tango won an AAS award when it was introduced in 1998, but the hybrid has been reselected and improved for larger blooms and tidier habit. Now these rich orange blooms with delicately notched petals span 2 1/2 inches across, and arise nestled among and above fascinating bronzy-green foliage. Just 2 feet tall and 18 inches wide, the plants remain compact and fresh over the very long season. And the sheer abundance of bloom is staggering! Most amazing, though, is Tango Improved's sun tolerance. Much more adapt at handling direct sun than other Impatiens, it neither loses bloom color nor foliage freshness over time, and is adaptable enough to thrive anywhere from deep shade to three-quarters sun. A rare and versatile garden treasure! Pkt is 15 seeds. Accent combines all the good qualities you expect from Impatiens: it's stronger, earlier and longer to bloom, and super-floriferous, with huge 2 1/4-inch blooms all over neat, low-growing 10-inch plants. One of America's absolute favorite Impatiens, it is versatile enough for beds, shady borders, and containers of all types. Accent begins blooming in early spring in the semi- to fully-shaded garden or container, and keeps coming all the way to frost! In southern areas, it has been known to overwinter. Also a fine houseplant, it is not too fussy about soil and is generally carefree and long-lasting! Blooms tend to increase as the season progresses. Pkt is 15 seeds. |
