| The rare and prized 'Blue Himalayan' Poppy produces sky-blue 2- to 2 1/2-inch flowers in partial shade. Best in Pacific northwest and cool northeast areas, it reaches 3 to 4 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and flowers in early to midsummer in most climates, its radiant azure blooms topping long, slender stems. One of Nature's finest plants, it is a treasure for any garden! The flowers have a crepe-like texture and are saturated with hard-to-find color. A ring of bright orange stamens in the center complements the azure tones nicely. Ideal for cutting, they arise high above a ground-level rosette of deep green foliage. Give this plant excellent soil drainage for best flowering. It is ideal for rock gardens, and doesn't mind drying out a bit between waterings. Zones 6-8. One of Park's Garden Gems! Pkt is 100 seeds. |
