"The" Name in Kiwis, 'Hayward' is Easy to Grow and So Prolific!
Masses of 2- to 3-inch fruits ripen in October on this fruiting female.
The most popular New Zealand Kiwi, 'Hayward' sports large, 2- to 3-inch fruits that ripen in mid-fall. If you have never grown your own Kiwi, this is the variety to try. The fruit has a tangy-sweet flavor somewhat like strawberry blended with pineapple, and is very high in Vitamin C.

Untroubled by pests or diseases, 'Hayward' is a fruiting female and will need a male pollinator to set fruit. You may use a single male plant for up to 8 female plants. Discover how easy and delicious growing your own Kiwis can be!

Hardy from zones 7 to 9 everywhere except the West Coast, where it extends into zone 10.
