| 48 days. Long a favorite of Park customers, County Fair is -- we have to admit! -- one of our top choices, too! The little 3-inch fruits are so full of flavor, from the thin, tender skin to the crisp flesh. Never a hint of bitterness -- just good, sweet eating. County Fair will be seedless if planted away from other varieties, too! Plants are resistant to Bacterial Wilt, Cucumber Mosaic Virus, CAB, Powdery Mildew, Angular Leaf Spot, and Anthracnose. Direct-sow seeds in a sunny spot after all danger of frost is past, or start indoors and transplant when the first true leaf appears. Cucumbers can be allowed to grow on the ground, but for longer, straighter fruit and to save garden space, grow them in a cage or on a trellis, allowing 1 foot between plants. Keep them well watered, and keep the fruits picked promptly. Pkt is 30 seeds. |
