A Whole New Flower Form for this Favorite!
Each petal is split right down the middle, creating a 5-pointed star!
What a delightful new take on Morning Glory! The old favorite has a fresh new update with split petals, which gives the rounded blooms a new star-shaped silhouette and an entirely different presentation on the vine. You MUST try Split Personality this season!

This vining annual can be grown as a groundcover or a climber, quickly spreading 4 to 6 feet long and trailing blooms every inch of the way! the flowers are 2 inches wide, with 5 bright magenta-red petals surrounding a white center. But how very different they look from other Morning Glories! There's never been anything like it!

Like all Morning Glories, Split Personality thrives in full sunshine, blooming happily from summer until frost. Here in the South, wild Morning Glories carpet the ditches at the side of the roads -- an amazing sight for anyone new to the area! But Split Personality is a far cry from its wild cousins, showing a restrained growth that's just perfect for hanging baskets, tall planters, and quick coverage of any sunny garden spot.

Split Personality is easy to grow from seed. Simply soak the seeds overnight in cold water to soften up their hard shell. Then cover them with about a quarter inch of soil and keep them at temperatures anywhere from 68 to 86 degrees F. You can sow them outside where they are to be grown as soon as the soil has warmed up in spring, or begin them indoors a few weeks ahead of time in a deep container. (Those roots grow fast!) Expect germination to take up to 3 weeks. Once they sprout, they never look back!

Split petals seem to be all the rage this year -- for another startling take on this look, consider Foxglove Pantaloons! And be sure to grow some of Split Personality's cousins in garden or container, just to show off the different look of the petals: Star of Yelta is a stunning choice, as is merry Tie Dye Blue. Few plants are so generous with the number of blooms, length of bloomtime, and ease of growth! Pkt is 20 seeds.
