A great choice for regions where other garden peas have not done well, Maestro is widely-adapted and vigorous. Tolerance of Powdery Mildew increases the yields still further! Easy to grow, peas love cold weather, so plant as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Direct-sow 1 to 2 inches apart and 1 to 1 1/2 inches deep. Peas are also ideal as a fall crop started in late summer. To conserve space and simplify harvesting, sow in double rows with a trellis between rows.
