The Earliest Big Tomato in the Garden!
Fantastic Disease Resistance!
66 days. ASCF1F2StV. Determinate. This tomato definitely has a future in advertising! The perfect glossy red globes are so flawless and mouth-watering that you may catch guests squeezing them to see if they're real. Have no fear -- they only look artificial! Applause is packed with rich flavor, and these heavy-bearing plants set their crop earlier than any other. So whether you want the first tomato on the block, the most beautiful luscious red globes for plate appeal, or the biggest baskets full for canning or freezing, rely on Applause!

Each smooth, perfectly formed fruit weighs between 8 and 12 ounces and bears a very small blossom scar. They boast smooth shoulders (never green!) and are delectable fresh or canned, with a meaty bite and a high ratio of solids. The determinate plant sets its enormous harvest all at once, so if you like to put up your tomatoes, Applause is the one to try!

Very adaptable, this plant has an unbelievable disease resistance package. It stands up to Fusarium Wilt races 1 and 2, Verticillium Wilt, ASC, and Gray Leaf Spot. Great for small-space gardens, the bushy plant never gets out of hand, yet still produces heavy, dependable yields. Give it a try!

Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Plant outdoors when danger of frost is past and night temperatures consistently remain above 55 degrees F. If an unexpected late frost is forecasted, protect young plants with plastic sheeting or other cover. Set plants 2 to 2 1/2 feet apart. Pkt is 15 seeds.
