Achillea 'Cerise Queen'
Achillea millefolium 'Cerise Queen'
Achillea 'Cerise Queen': A 2-foot high and wide perennial with ferny foliage and abundant, flat-topped blooms of deep pink.
The blooms are heaviest in late spring and early summer, but continue right into fall!

Butterflies Adore It!
One of the easiest and most beloved native perennials.

Every sunny garden deserves a generous stand of Achillea (Yarrow), and 'Cerise Queen' is among the most beautiful of all varieties, with its rich deep pink blooms that just keep coming from late spring through summer and into fall. Whether you want to attract butterflies (Checkerspots, in particular, love this plant!), provide yourself with an unending supply of cut-flowers all season, or simply beautify the garden, 'Cerise Queen' is a must-have!

Reaching about 2 feet high and wide (it spreads over time by underground runners, and can be divided easily every few years to share with friends and extend your own "holdings"!), 'Cerise Queen' offers lovely fern-like foliage in addition to its flat-topped blooms. Always attractive, it is truly a three-season perennial, resting only in winter.

Hardy from one end of the country to the other, 'Cerise Queen' thrives in any well-drained soil. It is quite drought-tolerant, but you will find the blooms bigger and more profuse if you give it regular water. Heat and humidity do not faze it, and it survives the tough winters of zone 3 effortlessly. Because it is a native American plant, you will find that pests and diseases tend to leave it alone; it has adapted nicely to our growing conditions!

The flowers of this perennial are superb for fresh or dried arrangements, so consider using it in your cutting garden as well as the sunny border. Excellent for poor dry soil where few other plants are happy, this Yarrow is a gardener's best friend! Zones 3-9. Pkt is 100 seeds.
