A Graceful Addition to your Landscape!
Clumps of grass-like leaves with delicate stems bear candy-pink bells in midsummer.
Fairy Wand is sometimes referred to as 'Venus' Fishing Rod,' thanks to its delicately arching stems set with lovely blooms. No landscape plant is more graceful than this South African native, yet it is virtually unknown in much of the U.S. Freely blooming over many weeks, it is a distinctive and delightful addition to any sunny spot. Clumps of fine, grass-like leaves sport long, wiry stems that bear nodding, candy-pink bells in midsummer. Plants grow 4 to 5 feet tall, 2 feet wide, with an open, airy habit. Fairy Wand is lovely in the border, between paving stones, or overhanging a pond. This variety also makes a superb cut flower. Zones 7-9. 4-inch pot.
