An Old-Time Favorite Just Got Better!
The new Celebrity is a compact bush form that never needs support and bears 5 days earlier than its predecessor!
67 days from setting out transplants. Determinate. The old Tomato Celebrity is considered by many to be one of the world's finest "all-around" varieties -- great disease resistance, heavy yields, wide adaptability, and unbeatable flavor. Well, the best just got better! The new Tomato Bush Celebrity transfers all these advantages (plus a few more!) onto neat, compact plants that set fruit 5 days sooner and grow with no support! Plants reach just 15 inches tall and about twice as wide, yet they produce the same glossy, bright red 9-ounce fruit as the old Celebrity. These tomatoes are bursting with just the right mix of gel, sugars, and acids. And unlike the old Celebrity, it has no green shoulders -- the bush habit helps it ripen uniformly! If you love the distinctive tang and great disease-fighting power of the old Celebrity, take a good look at this new upstart. It's resistant to all the same diseases, plus two more:Verticillium Wilt race 1, Fusarium Wilt races 1 and 2, Nematodes, Tobacco Mosaic Virus, alternaria Stem Canker, and Stemphylium (Gray Leaf Spot). Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Set plants 2 to 2 1/2 feet apart. Pkt is 30 seeds.
