Organic Bean Trionfo Violetto
Phaseolus vulgaris Trionfo Violetto
Organic Bean Trionfo Violetto: 6-inch dark purple bean pods on Organic Bean Trionfo Violetto, which is a vining plant 2 to 3 feet long with lavender blooms and purple-veined foliage.
Long, deep purple pods, purple-veined foliage, and lavender blooms keep this plant gorgeous from spring through fall.

Elegant and Delicious!
This Italian heirloom is actually a French pole bean, easy and vigorous.

75 days. Even if you never picked a bean from this plant, it would be worth growing simply for the spectacle! The foliage is brilliantly variegated, with veins of rich purple standing out among the deep green. The flowers are lavender and very abundant, especially if you pick the beans promptly. And the beans themselves are slender, slightly curved marvels of dark violet, tender and delicious. Easy to grow in full sun, this is a "must have" plant for the vegetable garden, a Three Sisters planting, or the annual bed!

Trionfo Violetta is an Italian heirloom of a French pole type bean, trusted for generations to make delectable eating. The midnight-violet pods are 6 inches long and should be picked when very slender (no bigger around than a drinking straw) for best flavor. Harvest them all season long -- the quicker you pick some, the quicker new blooms appear. Crisp yet succulent, they are delicious lightly steamed as well as sauteed or boiled.

This vining plant quickly climbs a trellis or bean pole, tossing out its handsome leaves and showy lavender blooms as it grows. It makes a good choice for a Three Sisters planting with corn and squash, and is highly ornamental in the annual flower garden as well. And when it finally passes with the first hard frost, be sure to till it under the soil or add it to your compost heap -- beans add valuable nitrogen into the soil!

Our Certified Organic seed ensures that you grow only the true Trionfo Violetto, grown the all-natural, old-fashioned way. As with any bean, you might want to amend the soil at planting time with the natural bacteria in Nature's Aid, which helps the young roots fix nitrogen more quickly and effectively in the soil. Pkt is 50 seeds.
