Luscious powder-pink blooms shading to white with a hint of vanilla near the base absolutely wow in the vase or on the plant! Captain Rosette® is a magnificent Calla Lily, very long-blooming and so vigorous that it delivers far more blooms than you'd imagine possible! One of the famous new Captain® series from Holland, this is a dwarf Calla with full-size flowers and a bloom-happy nature that keeps the plants colorful from early summer right up to frost! The flowers are at least 5 inches wide (many are more like 6), with the exquisite form you expect of a Calla. Very long-lasting before and after cutting, they arise freely on plants just 21 to 28 inches high and 24 to 30 inches wide. The subdued forest-green foliage complements the flowers beautifully, too, with its plentiful white flecks and elegant shape. Happy in partial to half shade, Captain Rosette® is ideal for cutting, container growth, and garden beauty. North of zone 8, dig up the bulb in fall and store indoors for replanting next spring. When the flowering diminishes a little (after several years), dig up the bulb in early fall and divide it into new plants. Your Calla garden will just keep getting bigger and better! Zones 8-10.
