Monarch Butterfly Habitat

This clever enclosure allows you to raise multiple butterflies while experiencing the awe inspiring natural beauty of the butterfly life cycle. Monarchs in Eastern North America have a second home in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico while monarchs in Western North America overwinter in California. They use a combination of air currents and thermals to travel these long distances, traveling as far as 3,000 miles to reach their winter homes. Individual monarchs can travel between 50 to 100 miles a day and it can take up to two months to complete their long journey. This journey is becoming increasingly difficult due to deforestation, logging, development, agricultural expansion, and fires. Every backyard can become an oasis for monarchs and other butterflies.

The habitat is made of lightweight yet resilient materials and features two nifty handles on the top for easy portability. It is also collapsible making it a cinch to store when not in use. The cube is forest green with white meshing on 4 sides and includes 1 clear plastic window so you can easily view the interesting changes of the inhabitants as they grow. The front panel features a zippered drawbridge door which lays flat when open and stays out of the way while you arrange and clean the habitat.
