Description / Vaccinium Blueberry Patch Blend Easy Fruit Kit
While blueberries can self-pollinate, growing multiple varieties together results in bigger yields and larger, more flavorful berries. Blueberry Patch Blend Easy Fruit Kit makes berry growing easy by including 1 blueberry bush each of Jersey, Duke, and Bluecrop to maximize your harvest with the benefits of cross-pollination. These medium-to-large blueberries are firm, sweet, and incredibly versatileperfect for snacking, baking, or preserving. As a nutrient-rich superfood, they deliver delicious health benefits with every serving. Berries are ripe for picking in mid to late summer when they almost fall off the vine.
Standing 4 to 8 feet tall, these high-yielding bushes add ornamental value to the garden. Clusters of pinkish-white, bell-shaped blooms appear in spring, attracting pollinator, like bees and butterflies. Come summer, the bushes are heavy with fruit, their green foliage a perfect backdrop. By autumn, the leaves turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red, while the reddish stems provide interest through winter. These versatile bushes thrive in garden beds or containers, fitting seamlessly into edible landscapes (Zones 5-7).
Plant Blueberry Patch Blend bushes in a sunny location in spring, spacing them 6 to 8 feet apart and positioning the bud union 1 inch above the soil line for optimal growth.
