Description / 'Fiesta' Caladium Bulbs
If you need to brighten a bit of shade, 'Fiesta' Caladium is the plant to do it. For that matter, it's the perfect companion to other shade container plantings, setting off all neighboring colors brilliantly with its ghostly greenish-white foliage and dramatic deep pink starbursts. This dwarf caladium offers full-sized leaves on a tight, dense habit. It just may be the most eye-catching caladium you've ever grown.
The plant size is dwarf but the leaves large and showy, making 'Fiesta' a great candidate for combo bowls as well as flowerpots, tubs, baskets, and the shady garden bed. It's such a pleasure to landscape with this super-easy foliage bulb, because it keeps its color all season, through any weather. No waiting around for blooms.
'Fiesta' Caladium grows easily from a spring planting. Wait until the soil is warm and the nights are mildcaladium is a tender perennial, meaning it loves heat and humidity and will need to be dug up and brought inside when the weather gets really cold in autumn. (Just store it in clean kitty litter in a shoebox for the winter, then replant next spring.) It will reward you with many seasons of dazzling color.
