Description / Wonderland® Mix Sweet Alyssum Seeds
Wonderland® Mix Sweet Alyssum is a charming, low-growing annual that brings soft color, sweet fragrance, and pollinator-friendly blooms to your garden from spring through fall. The mix features delicate clusters of white, pink, lavender, and violet flowers, creating a carpet of color that's perfect for borders, containers, hanging baskets, rock gardens, and walkway edges.
Plants grow just 4 to 6 inches tall with a spread of 6 to 8 inches, forming a dense, mounded habit that fills in quickly and stays compact. The tiny, honey-scented blooms measure less than an inch across but appear in such abundance that they create a lush, blooming groundcover effect. And unlike older varieties, Wonderland® Mix Sweet Alyssum maintains its shape and bloom power even in cooler temperatures, making it ideal for early spring plantings. It is also a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects, making it a valuable addition to pollinator gardens.
To grow, sow seeds directly outdoors after the last frost, or start indoors 4 to 6 weeks before planting out. Wonderland® Mix Sweet Alyssum prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It's drought-tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance beyond occasional watering and deadheading.
