Description / Short Stuff™ Mix Zinnia Seeds
There's a new zinnia in town, and it's short but bright. Short Stuff™ is a powerhouse in the annual bed or container, sporting huge double blooms in bold colors on plants just 12 to 14 inches high. The absolute best for lots of color in very little space, Short Stuff™ has come to conquer all your sunny garden spots.
These fully double blooms are packed with rows upon rows of petals, forming lovely pompons that keep their shape and brilliance even in punishing summer heat and humidity. This mix contains all the bright shades for which zinnia is beloved: white, yellow, orange, red, pink, magenta, and lavender. The blooms measure 4 inches acrossand that's pretty amazing, considering the plant itself is only 10 to 12 inches wide.
Short Stuff™ begins blooming with the first hint of summer heat, and continues until the cold fall temperatures arrive. It's great for filling in those strips along the sidewalk and on either side of the driveway, where other plants bake out in the summer heat. It's also ideal for containers of all kinds, and for tucking in between vegetable plants as a pest deterrent. A member of the Aster family, zinnia attracts the "good bugs" that benefit your veggies and keeps some of the bad guys at bay.
And the best part? Short Stuff™ wastes no time, sprouting easily from a direct sowing and beginning to bloom just 6 weeks or so after sowing. Few flowers are easier or more prolific.
Expect this zinnia to keep blooming all summer long if deadheaded promptly. Heat, humidity, and even the occasional dry spell are no problem. Find a spot in well-drained soil and get ready for the show.
