Description / Primula PRIMA BELARINA® 'Blue Champion'
This perfect little primrose is super colorful and has proven garden performance, but it can also be grown indoors. With its naturally floriferous, long-blooming nature, it puts on a fabulous display of large violet to blue fully double blooms. Borne in tight, dense clusters, the ruffled, rose-like flowers are sweetly scented and appear atop a neat mound of deeply textured dark green foliage.
A cold hardy perennial, it returns early each spring, bigger and better. It's an easy care, easy grow plant that requires little more than fertile soil kept well-drained, but evenly moist, and a little mulch to protect it in winter and to conserve moisture and keep its roots cool in summer.
The quintessential cottage garden plant, it's perfect in mixed beds, borders, and containers, but it also grows nicely on a windowsill indoors. Deer and rabbit resistant, it is suitable for rock, woodland, and alpine gardens too.
