Description / Hedera 'Tropical Blizzard'
Hedera 'Tropical Blizzard', a large-leaved Algerian ivy, is an evergreen perennial offering year-round interest. The unique leaves are highly variegated with gold to pure white marbling and flecking with varying shades of green in between. But the pink and red stems may just steal the show.
A woody evergreen vine, Hedera 'Tropical Blizzard' has a climbing, trailing growth habit and a fast growth rate. Although a vigorous plant, Algerian ivy is not invasive, like English ivy is, and is often used as a ground cover in warmer climates, but it works well in containers and hanging baskets, outdoors or indoors.
Easy to grow, Algerian ivy prefers sun to full shade and is adaptable to any soil if it's well-drained. The plant is salt and pollution tolerant.
