Wee Bit Giddy® Bigleaf Hydrangea packs remarkable flower power into a compact plant. Large mophead blooms display deeply saturated color that ranges from rich red pink tones in neutral soils to dramatic purple violet shades in acidic conditions. Dark glossy foliage and strong stems provide the perfect backdrop for the vibrant flowers, creating a colorful display from summer into fall. Its compact habit makes it easy to enjoy bold hydrangea color in smaller spaces.
This improved reblooming hydrangea flowers on both old and new wood, providing a longer season of blooms and reliable garden performance. A cross between Cityline Paris and Let's Dance Rave, Wee Bit Giddy® combines intense flower color with a durable landscape habit. The compact size makes it ideal for borders, containers, edging, low hedges, and cutting gardens, while its repeat blooming nature helps keep the garden colorful throughout the season.
Hardy in Zones 5 to 9, Wee Bit Giddy® thrives in part sun to sun and moist well drained soils. Plants mature to approximately 24 inches tall and 30 inches wide with a compact mounded habit. Pruning is not recommended, as any cuts can reduce flowering. For blue or purple tones, add aluminum sulfate in acidic conditions. This easy care hydrangea delivers outstanding color and reliable reblooming performance.
