Description / Tulip Sunset Skies Bulb Blend
Pack of 10 Bulbs
Plant Sunset Skies, a blend of triumph tulips, in early to mid-fall, and in mid to late spring these spring ephemerals bloom in a mix of solid rose-violet flowers with a blue satin sheen and multicolored flowers in pink, orange, and purple hues. Borne singly on long, strong stems the large, sweetly fragrant, cup-shaped blooms make excellent cut flowers.
Sunset Skies varieties have an upright habit. They naturalize easily, with their sprawling clumps of narrow, linear foliage and showy blooms, appearing year after year, possibly for decades, in ideal conditions. Best planted in groups, Sunset Skies makes an excellent groundcover, especially useful for erosion control in spring rains, and it mixes well with other spring-blooming bulbs. Consider planting in large sweeping drifts in open woodland areas, in smaller groupings in beds and borders or in front of shrubs, or in masses under deciduous trees. They also make great container plants and can be forced for cheery indoor blooms in winter.
Sunset Skies, cold hardyto Zone 3bulbous perennials, are easy to grow and maintain. The plants grow best in a sunny location with average to fertile, well-draining soil, having a slightly acidic to neutral pH.
