Description / Cercis 'JN16' Black Pearl™
A new semi-dwarf ornamental, Black Pearl™ can be grown as a tree or as a bush. The freely branching, compact, moderately vigorous growth habit and relatively short internodes result in a full, dense appearance and a broad oval overall shape.
Extremely floriferous, this eastern redbud brings in spring with a brilliant bloom of five-petaled lavender flowers. Heart-shaped, extremely dark purple, almost black, foliage follows and keeps its distinct color all through summer.
Deer resistant and black walnut tolerant
