To ensure your plants thrive, we ship at the perfect time for planting in your region, based on your Planting Zone.

Note: We are committed to shipping healthy live plants at the ideal planting time for your zone. In order to ensure our plants are shipped at the optimal conditions, we regularly adjust our shipping timeframes as needed. The below tables reflect our current estimate of timing for rose, live plant and bulb shipping each season.

Fall Shipping Schedule and Zone Opening Dates

Peony  Begins shipping early October to all zones
Important for Idaho Orders: Due to state certification requirements, shipments of potted plants to Idaho are expected to begin shipping early to mid-October, regardless of shipping zone.

First available shipping dates* are estimates. Because we consider weather and growing conditions before shipping, your plants may ship a little earlier or later to help ensure they arrive in the best possible condition.

  • Seed and Accessory orders are packed and shipped within 1-2 business days.
  • Live plants are processed, packed, and shipped at the proper planting time for your region. Allow 2-5 business days for processing prior to shipment.
  • An order cannot be cancelled once it has been prepared for shipping.
  • Your credit card is billed at time of shipment.
  • Your order may arrive in separate boxes. This will not affect your total shipping charges.
  • All orders are shipped FOB Origin.

2 Day Express
(2 business days guaranteed) Adds $16.95 per item to the standard delivery charge. Orders over $200.00 are 25% of merchandise total.

Overnight
Adds $21.95 per item to the standard delivery charge. Orders over $200.00 are 30% of merchandise total. Please note: 2-Day Express and Overnight shipping methods are excluded from promotional shipping offers.

Alaska and Hawaii Deliveries
To ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition, we recommend shipping to a street address, not a P.O. Box. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are sent via Express Delivery only. For Alaska and Hawaii shipments, please add $20.00 per order to the Standard Shipping & Handling charge, and allow one additional day for delivery. Although we are able to offer shipping to AK and HI we are unable to ship where horticultural restrictions apply. Potted plants to HI are still excluded.

Canada Deliveries
Seed orders may be shipped to Canada. Plants and gardening supplies (hard goods) cannot be shipped outside the U.S.

International and APO/FPO Deliveries
We are not able to ship any products to international addresses or APO/FPO destinations.

Heavy / Oversize
Some products require an additional handling charge. You'll find it noted in the product description when shopping on our Website. Please note some heavy or oversized items are not available for Express or Overnight shipping. Some items may require special freight service to your shipping address. The freight company will contact you to arrange a delivery time. Heavy and oversized shipping upcharges are excluded from promotional shipping offers.

Delivery Guarantee
While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all information, we reserve the right to make corrections if an error does occur. Please check all addresses carefully. Postal and delivery services will not forward. We guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are given.

Promotional Shipping Rates and Disclosures

From time to time, we may offer promotional shipping rates, including discounted or free shipping. Free standard shipping, with or without a promotional code when available, is calculated after discounts. These promotional rates may differ from our standard shipping and handling charges and are offered in connection with specific promotions. Promotional shipping offers apply to Standard Delivery only. 2-Day Express, Overnight shipping, and heavy or oversized shipping upcharges are excluded unless otherwise expressly stated.

Promotional shipping offers are subject to stated eligibility requirements, which may include a minimum purchase amount calculated before taxes, fees, and shipping charges. Additional limitations or exclusions may apply, including but not limited to product exclusions, order size or weight limits, delivery method restrictions, and destination limitations. All material terms and conditions applicable to a promotional shipping offer will be disclosed at the time the offer is presented and prior to checkout.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional shipping offers:

  • Apply only to qualifying orders placed during the promotional period
  • Are not retroactive and do not apply to prior purchases
  • Have no cash value and may not be substituted, transferred, or redeemed for cash
  • May not be combined with other shipping offers or promotions
  • Are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice

Standard shipping and handling charges apply to all orders that do not meet the stated promotional requirements. Shipping promotions do not alter the stated price of products and are offered separately from product pricing. We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions related to shipping rates or promotional offers, including after an order has been submitted.
