Description / Hibiscus Lavender Chiffon® Rose of Sharon
Enjoy up to 5 months of nonstop flowers from this glorious Rose of Sharon! A well-branched, flower-happy shrub you'll want for all the sunny spots in your landscape, Hibiscus Lavender Chiffon is a hardworker that transforms the landscape from summer into fall.
These oversized, fully double, lavender 3 to 4 inch blooms sport a frilly center and a crepe-paper consistency. One of the longest-blooming as well as most prolific Hibiscus, Hibiscus Lavender Chiffon typically sets flowers from June through October. There's simply no stopping it!
Hibiscus Lavender Chiffon is a big, well-branched, very bushy shrub, reaching 8 to 12 feet high and up to 6 feet wide. It loves water and nonstop sunshine, growing quickly and blooming from a young age.
Quite heat and humidity tolerant, this Hibiscus is also a butterfly magnet. It's a great choice for a foundation planting, patio accent, or hedge. Use it as a backdrop to Dwarf Russian Sage and other low-growing shrubs, as well as colorful annuals and perennials. No shrub is easier, untroubled by pests and disease and self-reliant through good weather and bad.
Space these shrubs about 4 to 5 feet apart for a dense "wall" of showy color.
