Description / Park's Whopper II Hybrid Cucumber Seeds
Days to Maturity: 55
Similar to our Gateway Hybrid Cucumber, but with amazing disease resistance. Disease resistant to downy mildew and other diseases. This long shaped cucumber has a beautiful dark green color. It holds well on vigorous, well-adapted plants. Great for snacks, recipes, and salads. It's a part of a whole new generation of delicious, super-strong slicers.
Cucumber Park's Whopper disease resistance package is unbeatable. It is highly resistant to target leaf spot, angular leaf spot, scab, anthracnose, and zucchini yellow mosaic virus. It offers intermediate resistance to powdery mildew, downy mildew, and papaya ring spot virus. Best of all, its intermediate resistance to downy mildew is the absolute best on the market. You will be successful every time with Park's Whopper II Hybrid Cucumber Seeds.
Direct sow the seeds in a sunny spot in the garden or in containers after all danger of frost is past. For an earlier crop, you can also begin the seeds indoors, transplanting when the first true leaf appears. Cucumbers can be allowed to grow on the ground or loll over the sides of containers, but for longer, straighter fruit with better support, grow the plant in a cage or on a trellis, allowing 1 foot between plants in the garden, or one plant per container.
