Description / Picea 'Aurea Jakobsen'
More commonly known as a Norway Spruce, this ornamental tree is a handsome upright evergreen with semi-weeping branches and gold frosted needles. Colors this vivid usually only last a season or two on most plants, but this variety keeps its bold colors all year long! Along with its lovely bi-colored foliage this tree is also notable for its sleek, cocoa and honey-colored cones. This tree stays relatively compact and it grows slowly - it takes about a decade for it to get up to 7 feet. Use this petite Norway Spruce in specimen plantings and as year round foliage accents for an extra wilderness feel to your landscape.
