Description / Forsythia Gold Tide®
Gold Tide® forsythia is a low, spreading shrub. A dwarf, it typically grows to approximately 2 feet high and 4 feet wide and puts on an outstanding display of yellow flowers in late winter to early spring. The flowers appear before the fresh and feathery light green foliage. Blooms appear on old wood, at least 2 years old. The shrub should be pruned at once after flowering. If pruned later, flower buds for the following spring could be removed.
Unlike other forsythias, this one tolerates drought and part shade. It also attracts bees but repels deer.
Uses: Mixed Borders, Cut Flowers, Foundation Plantings, Groundcovers, Edging
