  • Description / Bengal™ Mix Gerbera Seeds

Gerbera Bengal™ Mix brings bold color and cheerful form to containers, beds, and borders with its dazzling array of large, daisy-like blooms. This vibrant mix showcases a spectrum of rich shades, including red, pink, orange, yellow, and white, each with a distinctive central eye, creating a lively focal point wherever it's planted. Plants reach a mature height of 10 to 12 inches and a spread of 7 to 9 inches, creating a low, bushy habit that works well in both containers and the landscape.

A favorite among cut flower growers and landscape designers alike, gerbera daisies are valued for their long vase life and robust stems, and Gerbera Bengal™ Mix is no exception. The plants form neat, compact rosettes of deep green foliage and produce strong, upright flower stems that rise above the foliage for maximum visual impact.

Gerbera daisies thrive in full sun to partial shade and prefer well-drained, organically enriched soil. They are ideal for containers, edging pathways, or mass planting in mixed flower beds. Blooming begins in late spring and continues into fall with proper deadheading and care. Whether you're creating a colorful front porch display or refreshing your garden beds or borders, Bengal™ Mix Gerbera offers high-impact color with minimal effort.

Sow the seeds uncovered or direct sow outdoors when the soil is thoroughly warm in spring. If starting indoors, the Bengal™ Mix Gerbera seeds should sprout within two weeks, and can be grown on at 72 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit with plenty of light and fairly high humidity. Transplant when the seedlings have at least two sets of true leaves and the soil is completely warm in spring. Plants will bloom in 18 to 24 weeks from sowing. Hardy in zones 8-11, grown as an annual everywhere else.
