Description / Sedum Tile® Color Splash Stonecrop
Sedum Tile® Color Splash brings vibrant color to your garden with ease. This 10" x 20" pre-planted tile is filled with a curated selection of fleshy-leaved sedum plants. Carefully chosen for their compatibility and hardiness, these succulent perennials offer a delightful variety of textures, ever-changing colors, and charming star-shaped blooms from late spring into midsummer. Set on an eco-friendly coconut fiber mat, the fully rooted plants are ready to plant on a base of 2 to 3 inches of damp, prepared soiljust press down gently and water well. It's that simple!
The Color Splash Sedum Tile forms a low, multicolored mat that matures to a height of 1 to 6 inches, with a spread of 24 to 30 inches. Use multiple tiles for a lush, spreading ground cover in garden beds, borders, or on rooftops. You can also cut the tile to fit into containers and the spaces between patio stones or rock walls. Known as stonecrops, sedums have a spreading habit, and 12 Color Splash Tiles spaced a foot apart will fill a 50-square-foot area beautifully within a couple of years.
10 Low maintenance and incredibly easy to grow, sedums thrive in sunny spots and can tolerate some light shade. They prefer dry to moderately moist, well-drained soils, and grow well even in shallow, rocky areas. Ideal for rock gardens, xeriscapes, and areas where watering is challenging, these sedum mats also make an excellent mulch alternative, helping to keep weeds under control. Deer tend to avoid sedums, making them a carefree addition to any landscape.
