Our experts recommend you plant Lilium Stargazer Oriental lily bulbs before the first frost in fall. Although they can be planted in early spring, fall planting allows the bulbs to establish strong roots before flowering in midsummer. These tall and slender plants grow 36 to 48 inches high, with each sturdy stem supporting 6 to 8 outward-facing, bowl-shaped blooms in vibrant pink and white. The highly fragrant flowers have a spicy scent that fills the garden, while the long, pollen-covered stamens attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds.
