Lisianthus Echo Mix contains herbaceous perennials (Zones 8-10), typically grown as annuals. The Group 1, spray type lisianthus plants reach a mature height of 36 to 48 inches and blooms from late spring through summer. A favorite of gardeners and florists alike, the large, rose-like double flowers have a classic cup shape; smooth, lightly ruffled petals; and long, strong stemsperfect for cutting. The elegant flowers make exceptional spring and summer bouquets and mixed floral arrangements.
Echo Mix contains F1 Eustoma grandiflorum varieties, commonly called prairie gentian, bluebell gentian, and lisianthus. They have an upright habit that works well in garden beds, borders, and patio pots. They are an absolute must-have in a cutting garden.
Echo Mix lisianthuses grow best in a sunny spot with average, uniformly moist, freely draining soil having a neutral to slightly acidic pH between 6.0 and 7.0. Water regularly, feed every 2 to 3 weeks during the growing season, and remove faded flowers to encourage blooming.
Start Lisianthus Echo Mix seeds indoors at least 10-12 weeks before last frost date in spring. Set out seedlings after threat of frost has passed and soil has warmed.
