Description / Gardenia Peony
These peonies have remarkably fluffy blooms and are notably fragrant. The scent is sweeter than most flowers, which tend to be more tart and earthy. The peonies have a romantic perfume about them.
Gardenia starts out as pink buds, then opens up into pure white double blossoms. They bloom a bit late, often opening in the early weeks of the summer, and you can extend the lifespan of your garden by spacing out your planting schedule.
Gardenia's stems are strong, and the plants withstand temperature shifts and extreme weather conditions. The stems and leaves are a bright green, and remain alive until frost hits.
Gardenia peonies can be planted in either full sun exposure or part shade. They repel animals and rodents, but they attract butterflies. This is a perennial, but it has the long life and sturdy garden presence of a small shrub. Plant a legacy todayadd Gardenia to your border.
