These huge, beautifully ruffled and upturned blooms are suffused with tones of burgundy-rose. Perfect for cutting, they also make a stunning sight in the sunny garden, radiating warm color. This plant reaches 28 inches tall, with fresh green foliage that outlasts that of other Poppies. Deer and rabbits avoid this plant, and it's quite tolerant of poor soils (though it blooms best in rich, moist, well-drained soil, of course). Water it only during the driest part of the season.
