Description / Leucanthemum Realflor® 'Real Tiny Bubbles' Shasta Daisy
Realflor® 'Real Tiny Bubbles' Shasta Daisy is a delightful perennial that graces your garden with abundant flowers from early to mid-summer and blooms again in fall if trimmed back after the summer display. Masses of bubbly blooms emerge from flattened golden yellow buds, maturing into fully rounded pure white flowers. These 2 to 2½-inch blooms sit atop strong, stiff stems, making them ideal for charming summer bouquets and mixed floral arrangements.
This Leucanthemum x superbum, commonly known as Shasta daisy, is a compact plant, growing approximately 16 inches tall and 14 inches wide, with small dark green leaves. Shasta daisies are a staple in cottage and cutting gardens and are perfect for perennial borders. They also thrive in patio pots or mixed container gardens, adding a touch of elegance to any space.
'Real Tiny Bubbles' Daisy is extremely easy to grow, flourishing in sunny locations but also tolerating partial shade, especially in regions with hot, dry summers. The plant prefers medium moist, well-drained, and moderately fertile soil. Soil that is too rich can lead to excessive vegetation at the expense of flowers. This variety has improved disease resistance and, once established, is both heat and drought tolerant.
Although Shasta daisies are low maintenance, a few simple care practices can promote heavier blooms and maintain plant vigor. Deadheading spent flowers encourages continuous blooming, and trimming back the plants after their summer bloom can trigger a second bloom in the fall. Additionally, dividing clumps every 2 to 3 years helps keep the plants robust and thriving.
Add 'Real Tiny Bubbles' Shasta Daisy to your garden for a burst of charming white blooms and enjoy its resilience and beauty through the growing seasons. This perennial is not only a visual delight but also a reliable performer in a variety of garden settings.
