Description / Acer 'Waterfall'
A weeping Japanese maple, prized for its foliage, Acer 'Waterfall' has exquisite finely cut lacy leaves, with deeply dissected lobes, borne on cascading branches that resemble a waterfall with age. The bright green foliage of spring and summer becomes golden in fall with touches of yellow and red.
This deciduous specimen is the quintessential Japanese Zen garden tree, but its alluring low spreading shape and year-round interest fits almost any garden. Site Acer 'Waterfall' in locations protected from wind, in full to dappled sunlight, preferably with some afternoon shade, especially in the hotter climates of its growing area. In dry areas, mulching is highly recommended to keep roots moist and cool.
To maximize the benefits of water, fertilizer, and mulch we suggest using the Greenwell™ Water Saver
