Description / Lace Cascade Climbing Rose
Fill the garden with summer snow from this vigorous, disease-resistant, and heat-tolerant repeat-blooming climber. Lace Cascade is a carefree joy of a rose, with big double-flowered floribunda blooms set against handsome, healthy glossy, dark green foliage. It grows to a 10 to 12 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide that will fit into almost any size garden. Find a vertical support in your landscape and begin growing this spectacular rose this season.
The flowers are fully double, 3 to 4 inches wide, and offer a light sweet fragrance. The petals are held in great layers, each petal tip gently reflexed. Expect up to 20 petals per flower, for a very lush look. The first season is in early summer, with frequent reblooms all the way into early fall.
Introduced by Warriner in 1993, Lace Cascade descends from R. Iceberg x R. Prairie Fire. It sets pointed ovoid buds that open to high-centered blooms that self-clean. Blooming on both old and new wood, Lace Cascade is a profuse performer in any climate, even the hot and humid South and Southwest.
