Description / Dulce Nectar Melon Honeydew Seeds
Days to Maturity: 90 from direct sow
Dulce Nectar Melon Honeydew is an ultra-sweet, ultra-juicy, absolutely delicious midseason honeydew that stands up to a wide range of climates. Impervious to hot summers but also tolerant of poor soil and challenging conditions, this melon should take pride of place in your veggie patch.
These Dulce Nectar Melon Honeydews are round to oval, smooth and a creamy shade of white, with pale green flesh within. They weigh about 5 to 6 pounds, and offer a small, closed seed cavity that makes cleaning easy. And the flavorabsolutely scrumptious.
Best of all, Dulce Nectar Melon Honeydew is resistant to powdery mildew and tobacco mosaic virus, so you can expect big yields every time from these healthy plants. A winner for the garden no matter where you live.
Sow Dulce Nectar Melon Honeydew Seeds directly in the garden after the soil is thoroughly warm or, for an even earlier harvest, start them indoors in pots. Set out 18 inches apart with 4 feet between each row, or plant in hills 4 feet apart, with 2 to 3 plants per hill. Honeydews are ready to harvest when the fruit turns pale yellow or tan.
