Days to Maturity: 28, based on summer maturity

Crunchy Delight is a new summer-type radish with excellent yield potential, especially in Northern growing zones. The fast-growing plants produce medium-tall erect tops and large, consistently round fruits that resist cracking and pithing. Bright, glossy, and scarlet red on the outside, the bulb-shaped fruits have a brilliant white interior and a spicy flavor. All parts of the plant are edible—leaves, roots, and flowers.

A Raphanus sativus variety, commonly called radish, Crunchy Delight (a root vegetable) is a member of the cabbage and mustard family (Brassicaceae or Cruciferae), commonly called crucifers, brassicas, or cole crops. Plant Crunchy Delight radishes in a sunny site with loamy to sandy, moist, freely draining soil. Succession plant every 2 to 3 weeks for continual harvest. Harvest when young for best flavor and texture.
