A mouthwatering giant red tomato, Beefmaster routinely wins the size award at county fairs and contests. This massive beefsteak-type is not only huge but very heavy-bearing, with stunning yields over a long season on indeterminate vines.
How big is Beefmaster? Well, plan on many 1-pound tomatoes, and some as large as 1½ pounds. Despite all their bulk, they are also savory and delicious, with a good solids-to-gel ratio and intense flavor.
A bigger-than-life variety you will admire and enjoy, this plant is resistant to verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, and root-knot nematodes.
Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Transplant into the garden spaced 2 to 2½ feet apart.
