Oregon Planting Zones & Schedule

Oregon’s USDA growing zones range from Zone 5 to Zone 10. Most of the state falls in Zones 6a through 9a, depending on the elevation and proximity to the coast. The western third of Oregon, along the coast, ranges from Zone 8a to 10a. 

The inland parts of Oregon are primarily in Zones 6 and 7, with smaller areas of high elevation in Zone 5. Summers in Oregon are well suited to warm-season crops like peppers and tomatoes as well as cool-season vegetables like broccoli and lettuce.
