Description / Fragaria Eversweet™ Strawberry

Bred for the ultra-hot summer temperatures of the south and west, Fragaria Eversweet™ Strawberry is an everbearing strawberry that even gardeners in the Midwest and Atlantic coast find irresistible. Who doesn't have long, hot summers these days. Perfect for patio containers and growin' bags as well as garden beds, this self-pollinating wonder continues to set large, firm, juicy sweet berries all summer long, no matter what the weather does.

Long after other strawberries have folded up their tent for the season, Fragaria Eversweet™ Strawberry continues to set big, conical berries of brightest red. And that is only one of its merits: it also offers pretty white spring blooms and handsome foliage of olive-green. At just 8 to 10 inches high and up to a foot wide, it makes a great choice for strawberry jars and growing bags, so you can set it on the blazing deck, balcony, or patio without a second thought. No need to seek shade on August afternoons when Eversweet™ is your strawberry.

Fragaria Eversweet™ Strawberry sets a big crop early in the summer season, then continues to bear smaller crops each 6 weeks or so. In warm and mild climates, it continues into fall. The average output per plant is 1 to 2 pints, and it has been observed to keep bearing after temperatures top 100 degrees.

You will begin craving these delicious berries from the moment you sample your first Eversweet™. Start the strawberry garden of your dreams today—and don't forget to pick up some Growin' Bags for fuss-free, off-the-ground easy growing.

None of them made it 0 people found this helpful

I bought 100 bare roots. Two of the packages arrived with fuzzy mold on them. I soaked and rinsed all the roots but absolutely nothing grew. Have emailed costumer service several times and have not gotten a response. Replaced them with grown up plants from a local nursery and those are doing great.

I wasn't sure the bareroot plants would take hold and grow, but a week after planting, they have doubled in size and many are covered with blossoms.

They died 0 people found this helpful

Only about half of them seemed alive when I got them and those did alright until they too died, but that was my fault; the addition of more plants made a preexisting K deficiency in my aquaponics system even worse and I'm pretty sure that's what killed them.

I've had zero success growing strawberries in the past (I've purchased bare roots and plants from lowes / walmart / home depot) which has left me a little scared to try again. I happend by Park Seed's website by doing a simple goodge search. I'm SO glad I found y'all. I received my strawberry roots and they were healthy and easy to plant,.aAl of the roots already had some foliage growing which made it a little easier for a novice such as myself to decide where the crown was located. I planted these 2 weeks ago and they havealready starting bloom!ing I was so impressed with Park Seed and your quality that I have since ordered supplies and other fruits! Thank you Park Seed!!!!

Not so sure about this one 0 people found this helpful

All but 1 died. I've grown strawberries before so I know how to plant them. This is my 1st time growing bareroot strawberry plants but not my 1st time successfully growing a plant that was bareroot. I even use mycorrizae top prevent transplant shock but I got nothing. It was a project I was doing with my kids to teach them about plant life by this was VERY disappointing.

So far so great! 0 people found this helpful

I am always leery of buying plants online as we are in FL. Even in the spring, a one day delay can mean total loss... Package arrived promptly (w blueberry plants), mixed them w a little potting soil and sprayed them down damp in a solo cup overnight. Planted the next day. a week in the ground, 25 for 25 flourishing, all w multiple leaves already!

Best strawberry I've ever grown 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

Eversweet is the best strawberry I've ever grown in pots. It is sweeter by far and bears more berries by far. This year I'm getting rid of all except Eversweet. Our climate is sweltering heat and humidity in Georgia and this one performs the B-E-S-T.
