Description / Magellan™ Pink Zinnia Seeds

The best dwarf zinnia ever grown, the Magellan series introduces bigger, more abundant blooms than ever before. These fully double, petal-packed beauties reach up to 5 inches wide and arise profusely all over neat, well-branched little plants scarcely more than a foot high. If you love the bold colors and indestructible garden presence of zinnias, please treat yourself to this long-blooming, ultra-robust dwarf variety.

The flowers are packed with layer after layer of petals, with a frilly yellow center to cap them off. Expect them to range from 4 to 5 inches wide, and to glow with rich pink tones over a long, long summer season. Magellan blooms just 6 weeks or so after sowing, so you're guaranteed a long and colorful summer.

Perfect for the front of the annual bed, containers, or as accents in the patio garden and perennial border, Zinnia Magellan holds up its big, heavy blooms beautifully, almost vanishing beneath their colorful heads at the height of the season. Deadhead the old flowers to keep new buds arising, and you'll get even more glorious color.

This series contains 7 separate colors (including AAS winner coral) and a mix, plus an economical collection containing one packet of each. Try them all and you can landscape with a palette of ultra-bright, long-lasting color.

Can you imagine a better bedding zinnia than Magellan? Started indoors early April, planted outdoors mid-May and by mid to late June they're in full bloom. I have yet to deadhead any of the first flowers. I wish I could send a picture.

I saw this beautiful pink zinnia in a friend's yard and in 2023 I started a package of seeds. Germination was great (started indoors under lights) and they were everything I hoped for. Big blooms, sturdy plants. They were a highlight of my 2023 garden!

I have spent 40+ years tweaking my combination perennial/annual garden so that after the first snowdrops, Hellebores and crocus start blooming in the spring, there is constant bloom until the last mums fade after several killing frosts. While perennials anchor the season-long show, it is the annuals that provide the long term glue. Magellan Zinnias have been a reliable and consistent high performer in my garden for years. They are easy to germinate. They bloom profusely. They love the heat, perform well in drought, and keep their tidy mounded shape. The 18" height is perfect as a second tier section of bloom. Incredibly, Magellan Zinnia seeds are hard to find, especially if you want to buy them in specific colors rather than in mixes. Park Seed is one of the few suppliers I have found that offer Magellan Zinnia seeds by color. They have and will continue to have my business because they not only offer exactly what I want, but the germination rates of their seeds are so high. Park - add the Magellan Pinks to your offerings, will you, so I can order everything from you!
