Bush Edamame Soybean

The best for delicious, fresh-from-the-garden edamame, Midori Giant Bush Edamame Soybean is the biggest and earliest soybean available for home gardens. Pods are filled with 2 or 3 extra-large, round, buttery seeds with a sweet flavor and fresh bite. From the moment you harvest your first handful of Midori Giant Bush Edamame Soybeans, you'll be hooked.

This bush-habit Midori Giant Bush Edamame Soybean is easy to grow, with excellent branching and heavy production of curved, 2- to 3-inch green to buff pods. Nearly every pod has at least 2 seeds, tender and sweet. Steam or boil them briefly for world-class edamame.

Rich in nutrients, soybeans are very easy to grow. Direct sow the Midori Giant Bush Edamame Soybean Seeds after all danger of frost is past in spring. The plant reaches about 20 to 24 inches high and 18 inches wide. You'll be harvesting in midsummer from even a late spring planting. Sow successively to extend your harvest of fresh eating.

ZERO germination 0 people found this helpful

Garden conditions were not the problem: 3 other edamame varieties from other sources, in the next rows, grew just fine.

Midori edamame: no germination 0 people found this helpful

    Rating

I had ZERO germination from the Midori edamame seeds. They were bought fresh for this season, not old seeds. I planted 4 varieties of edamame at the same time, with inoculant,, in parallel rows or parts of the same row, so weather or soil conditions should not have been a factor. The other 3 grew just fine, but nothing at all from Parks Midori seeds.

Never again Parkseeds, not a single soy bean seed germinated. Contacted Parkseed, no response.

Grows fast! 1 people found this helpful

Planted these in rows in lates spring. Pests found the seed irresistible, as well as the seedlings and young plants. They seem to grow and recover quite quickly though, so I'm still hopeful for a small yield.

Happy edamame eater 1 people found this helpful

This plant spouted quickly, grew strong and produced a large crop in my little suburban garden. They held up to the heat well. Lots of people were interested to see them grow and eat then with me too.
