These mushrooms are Certified Organic, GLOBAL G.A.P, USDA Organic, Certified South Carolina, and Certified Appalachian Grown™ products.
In little more than a month, you can begin harvesting your own button mushrooms. No store-bought variety compares in taste and texture with a fresh-picked mushroom, and you'll be picking plenty—over a period of at least 4 to 5 weeks—from this highly-productive kit.
Here's what you get in the Button Mushroom Kit: a lightweight box, preplanted with fine fresh mushroom spawn in a rich mixture of compost and topsoil, plus easy-to-follow instructions. It's very easy to grow indoors in any cool, dark spot with temperatures between 55 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
When your kit arrives, be sure to start it immediately. It weighs 13 pounds and will make approximately 6 pounds of mushrooms. Sorry, we cannot ship this kit to Hawaii.

button mushrooms 0 people found this helpfulbought the button mushroom kit, it arrived in good condition. followed instructions (have the kit currently in garage) which stay about 50 to 65 degrees. have already got 2 large buttons and several more coming on. they were planted in Nov. The mushrooms start like little pin heads, within a day or two they really start to grow. almost double in size overnite.

Most Expensive Mushroom I Ever Ate 0 people found this helpfulI followed the instructions of this kit to a T, and got lot's of little mushrooms the size of bb's, but only one of them actually grew up to about an inch tall, the rest stayed bb sized for weeks. I let everything dry out completely, refrigerated it for a week, took it back out to try again, and the same thing is happening... I have bb sized mushrooms but not even one of them this time is getting any bigger, and it's been a week already. Most expensive mushroom I ever ate. Very disappointed.

Says gives only 6 LB of mushrooms? 0 people found this helpfulI am really confused. The kit costing $35 yields 6LB of mushrooms, meaning the cost is $6/LB. Am I missing something as that does not make any sense?

Not the same kit as in the past 0 people found this helpfulI purchased this kit in the past and had good luck with it so I felt comfortable getting another one even though it has been years later. To my surprise this is nothing like the one I got before. The instructions are NOT clear. I am told to do things that cannot be done with what I was sent and provided with an item that is not mentioned in the instructions at all. I shall attempt to grow this but I am dubious. I am also disappointed to find no information about this kit on the website of the company who provided it. No, it did NOT come from Parks, but from Wayside or Jackson and Perkins, not sure which. This is not the service I am accustomed to receiving from Parks.

Nothing grew and it's been almost 2 months! 0 people found this helpfulI bought this button mushroom kit because I really wanted to try growing mushrooms. I love fresh mushrooms so it's understandable that I was really excited to get this. However after following me instructions, which weren't all that clear on the lighting, I have waited in anticipation for anything to grow. Like the title says it has been almost 2 months and the only thing I've seen is a little bit of mold. I have not been overwatering but I have made sure that its moist everyday. I am so utterly disappointed I will never buy anything from here again. I might as well just buried $40 in the ground and hope for mushrooms to come up because it's about equally as effective.
