Description / Profusion AAS Mix Zinnia Seeds

Profusion is the most adaptable bedding zinnia in the world, and this mix brings you 4 of its very best colors: the All-America Selection winners Orange, Cherry, Red, and White. There's no better source of color for sunny beds and containers this summer.

The Profusion series has changed the face of landscaping zinnias forever . . . thank goodness. These bushy plants, 14 to 18 inches high and 20 to 24 inches wide, are simply smothered nonstop all season with cheerful, 2-inch daisylike blooms. Ideal for mass plantings or containers. What's more, Profusion is highly tolerant of mildew and other foliage diseases, and laughs at heat, humidity, and drought. We are proud to give Profusion our highest recommendation for garden-worthiness.

Zinnia is one of the easiest annuals to grow, and they attract butterflies to the garden. It is the perfect cut flower—even these smaller bedding blooms are pretty in petite arrangements. And the more flowers you cut, the faster you get new ones on the plant. Profusion thrives in the sun and heat of summer, and asks only for well-drained soil. Butterflies and bees adore it, and it attracts the "good bugs" that keep pests off your vegetable plants. So be sure to decorate the veggie patch with this compact, colorful annual.

Direct sow the seeds in the warm spring soil, or start them indoors for spring transplant. Space the plants generously to prevent overcrowding. When cutting the blooms for the vase, trim off all the foliage; unlike the blooms, it does not age well.

You will love this colorful mix of 4 of the very best Profusions.

Best zinnia for containers 2 people found this helpful

I've grown these for 3 years now. I start them indoors and transplant 5 plants into a 12 inch pot. Always 100% germ from Park Seed! They take a bit to get going in the pot in my area (5b upstate NY) but once they do they are amazing as a Full-Round Mounded Flower/Color Explosion! They will fill out to be 16 to 20" high and almost 3 feet across in the 12 inch pot. I do need a complete prune/deadhead once a week (and fertilize every 3rd water) in the heat of summer, but there are so many buds it flushes back out in a day. Will continue thru after first frost looking like a mum. Love these zinnia!! Strangers pull in my yard to admire them. All polinators love all zinnia! Only down side is the japanese beetles, I have to pick them off daily or they will decimate the plants and buds/blooms. I find all the profusion the most resistant to powdery mildew in my area.

These Profusion Zinnias are aptly named. They outperformed all my other seeds last summer and I'm hopeful for a repeat performance this year. Highly recommend
