Description / Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine Thunbergia Seeds

Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine, soft antique colors look like something you might find in an old photograph of great-grandmother's garden. Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine takes the ever-popular, pure American black-eyed Susan vine to new heights with glorious shades of rose, salmon, apricot, and ivory, all overlaid with a vintage look. Just as easy to grow and bloom-happy as the original orange-yellow combo, Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine is a colorful joy that you'll want for all your patio containers, trellises, the annual border, and anywhere else you want a splash of bold color.

This color blend for the black-eyed Susan vine family took many years to get it just right—rose, salmon, and apricot tones, all overlaid or smudged with ivory, plus a few creamy blooms with mere smidges of other colors. You'd expect such a range of colors in a mix, but here you get an entire "mix" on every plant. The blooms are a good size, held wide open and measuring about 1¼ to 1½ inches across. They are very profuse, simply covering this 5- to 8-foot-tall vine over a long early-summer-to-frost season.

If you like Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine, take a look at the other addition to the black-eyed Susan vine family—warm-hearted Blushing Susie, bursting with red and rosy tones. And don't forget the classic yellow-gold variety, which has delighted gardeners and inspired artists for many generations.

Happiest in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, Sunrise Surprise Black-Eyed Susan Vine Seeds should be sown directly into the soil or container in which she will be grown. Plant the seeds when the soil warms in spring, and in no time you'll be training up this vigorous little vine and enjoying its big bounty of rosy color.

I have 8 of the sunrise surprise planted since April in different areas in the Atlanta area. Just yesterday have 3 blooms on one vine all the same orange color. Vines are now easily 8 ft on my arbor that have no blooms. My friend also has only gotten 4 orange blooms. Not sure what is wrong.
