Description / Sweet Million Hybrid Cherry Tomato Seeds

Days to Maturity: 65 from transplant

Indeterminate

Large clusters of smooth, bright, miniature fruit arise all summer long on this classic variety. A garden treasure that always turns out big harvests of sweet tomatoes, Sweet Million hybrid is considered a high performer based on testimonials of hundreds of customers as well as our own garden trials.

The bright red, 1- to 1 ½-inch globes are sweet and tender, arising plentifully on indeterminate plants resistant to fusarium wilt race 1, nematodes, tobacco mosaic virus, and leaf spot.

Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before the last frost date. Plant outdoors when danger of frost is past and night temperatures consistently remain above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If an unexpected late frost is forecasted, protect young plants with plastic sheeting or other cover. Set plants 2 to 2½ feet apart.

All plants had hard white centers 0 people found this helpful

Every seed I have ever germinated from Park seeds has always been a winner except for the Sweet minion tomato seeds. All 15 that I germinated over the summer grew into big plants but they ALL had hard white centers. Every last one of them. I had some in pots with potting soil and others in the ground planted planted around the yard. I put thousands of them in the woods for whatever eats them. I have seen this on regular tomatoes at random. The package said made in Japan. Maybe they got hit with a heavy X-Ray at customs and fried the DNA.

I hope you like tomatoes 0 people found this helpful

This variety is awesome. I made the mistake of planting these in my raised beds instead of hanging baskets. These monsters grew to 6' tall before falling over and taking over the whole 10'x4' bed. Admittedly, I planted too many of them. Five plants produced thousands of delicious tomatoes over the summer.

Amazing production in 104 degree weather! 1 people found this helpful

This is the second Summer I’ve grown this variety here in San Antonio, TX, and it’s setting fruit in the extreme heat and drought. I can’t get other tomatoes to do this here. The fruit is sweet and delicious and grows in clusters. You must be prepared to stake or trellis this tomato plant as mine has grown over 12 feet tall. The long top stems have held up well even though I had no way to support them this high up. They hang down a bit, don’t break off and just keep producing. My 3 plants produce so much fruit that I’m sharing with my family, friends, and neighbors. They are practically disease free and will produce until the first frost. So glad I found this variety!

Maybe next year? 1 people found this helpful

    Rating

This is the only plant I had this year that didn't germinate. I found it strange to get 0% germination. All my tomatoes germinated near 100% and other plants have similar rates. Too late to restart now. Hopefully just a fluke!

Better than expected 1 people found this helpful

These were the best little tomatoes we ever ate. We froze several packages and still use them with other foods especially on pizzas. We highly recommend them.

Yelded far from a million. Taste ok, noticeably inferior to Sun Gold. Will try another red variety instead next season.
