The metal stand permits you to adjust the light hood to varying heights, providing optimal levels of light for emerging seedlings, rooting cuttings, or mature plants. An ideal growing environment is provided by wide-spectrum fluorescent lighting, which distributes the reds and yellows of the spectrum more widely than regular household fluorescents can do. It works for me! However... 0 people found this helpfulThis is a good size for me, easy to find a location for, and my little starts are thriving. I set them out in the cold frame as they and the weather allow. However, one of the lights flickers no matter what I do., or it would be 5 stars. I wonder whether the company could send a replacement?

Piece of junk 0 people found this helpfulThe threads on the screw that attach the lights to the legs are defective. One light bulb died after 2 hours of use. The other light flickers. I would return but I don't have the time nor patience. Plus, I need it for my seeds under the dome. A friend of mine bought some screws that worked at lest temporarily and I hope to be able to buy a replacement bulb at home Depot. These bulbs are the very old type and I am not sure they are still available. Waste of money!

Grow Lightq 0 people found this helpfulI love this system. Not only is it easy to use - the lights adjust with a twist of a screw - it is also small enough to fit on top of a shelf or dresser. The double light system keeps the plants from "leaning in" toward the middle. I start my whole garden with one unit!
